I Hate to Say It

But I think my NaNoWriMo novel has become a lost cause. I'm very behind in my word count and I've gotten stuck numerous times and I'm not sure how to fix it. I am still writing and because it's under less pressure, the short story that working on for class is coming out well. But I'm stuck on that too. I have a beginning and I know how I want it to end I just have absolutely no idea what I want to do with the middle.

On the bright side, there's a live stream of the last song of the Use Your Sole tour on Hanson.net in 20 minutes that I can't wait for. Even though they have shut down the entire site so the only thing accessible is the live stream and I have nothing to entertain me for those 20 minutes at an odd hour of the night.

Talk Is Cheap

I updated my tumblr with lots of pictures today, mostly ones from weheartit.  And while I'm at it, my twitter is here. Most of the updates are protected, but if you follow me you should be able to see them. I wish I were cooler today, but I'm not. I'm about to go to sleep because the live H.net event I was waiting up for got canceled and I have early classes in the morning.

A Little Bit of Dialogue

"Shit," she muttered to herself a little louder than intended.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"Nothing," she said.
"Is it your knee?" he asked.
"No, it's nothing," she said. "I'm fine."
"I've never heard you curse when everything's fine," he said before dropping it. They stood there together watching the band a little longer before he turned back to her. "Do you want to stay over tonight?"
"Then you'd know that my knee's killing me," she admitted.
"I already knew that," he said. "But I can take care of you."
"You don't have to do that," she said.
"I know I don't have to. I don't want to take care of you because I feel obligated to. I want to take care of you just because I want to. We can prop your leg up with pillows. I'll get you a bag of ice and some ibuprofen. I'm a good doctor."
She looked at him for a second before kissing him lightly. "You're a good boyfriend."

These characters don't have names or a story, I just kind of came up with this and liked it.

Day Six

It's November 6, and I'm only at a little over 2,000 words. I'm about 8,000 words behind, but I'm determined to make it up this weekend. I was really hoping that I would have something decent to share here, but I'm not impressed with my writing at all this go around. I do have to write a short story for my creative writing class though so hopefully I will have something good from that to post on here so that I can share some of my writing.

Day One

Nothing fantastic in the one page that I've written, but I'm ending the day with 558 words and hopes of having time to write much more tomorrow.

NaNoWriMo 2009

It's November 1st, which means that it's the beginning of NaNoWriMo. And what better way to get myself to start a novel than to attempt to write one this month. So I'll be giving you samples/scenes of my novel and introducing characters as well as keeping you updated on my progress. Feel free to comment and leave support and constructive criticism on my posts.

SYNOPSIS: Four girls go to the beach with a family for the summer and run into some adventures along the way.
